Tips to get that WOW look!
For the night-time look:
If we're heading for a night out on the town - a romantic meal, a night with the girls, a hot date - we want to look glamorous and sexy!
Try these simple steps next time you want to look extra special.
- To start, use 1 or 2 drops of Eye Dew Dazzling Eye Drops* for super sparkly eyes, before applying your eye shadow
- Hold a clean tissue just under eye to catch any eye shadow which falls from brushes or applicators.
- Line the eyes with a dark colour along the top and bottom lids and in the socket line. Use eye shadow and a pointed sponge applicator, a soft eye pencil or a kohl pencil. Blend this colour to the outermost corner of the eye.
- Highlight the eye with a pale, shimmery shade on the lid in-between the dark areas and on the browbone.
- Add a couple of coats of black mascara to add some glamorous length.
- Brush eyebrows with an eyebrow brush for added definition.
For the WOW daytime look:
- Add a dash of white eye shadow to the very inner corner of the eye to take away tell-tale sign of tiredness and stress darkness in-between the side of your nose and the corner of your eye.
- Add a touch of sparkle to make your eyes look great all day with Eyedew Sparkling Eye Drops.
The Eyes Have It!
Do you think your eyes are a little on the smallish side or possibly look a little close together? Until you know the shape of your eyes, you could be emphasising a problem when you apply make-up instead of disguising it. Follow these tips to discover how to achieve the perfect eye with a few tricks of the trade:
Small Eyes Solutions:
- Apply the dark colour - the definer to the eye socket and blend it up to just over the natural crease of the eye.
- Add a touch of colour underneath the outer edge of the eye and take it up to meet the socket.
- Go for dark browns rather than heavy black, as this will only emphasise the problem.
Big Eyes /Heavy Lids:
- Sweep a dark colour over the whole lid and highlight just under the outer part of the brow bone.
- Try applying a dark kohl pencil to the inner lid to make eyes look even smaller.
- Go for nearly black or very dark brown colours.
Close-together Eyes (how to make eyes look wider):
- Apply the darker shadow to the socket blending up to the natural eye crease.
- The trick here is to take the colour to just beyond the outer corner so that it makes a soft v-shape (no wings, please!)
- Go for muted colours - dark greys, dark browns, no heavy black.
